Functional safety in Industrial Ethernet is essential for the safe operation of industrial systems. By implementing safety protocols, continuous monitoring and compliance with international standards, the risk of accidents and failures can be minimized. The Industrial Ethernet encoder platform is now extended with the latest SIL2 and SIL3 certified Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) protocol.

Specifications such as high-resolution position values, gear factor, variable integration times and much more enable optimal use in applications such as the packaging industry or special machine construction.

Protection in times of cyber attacks: The new FSoE encoder meets the cyber security SL1 requirements and supports a "defense-in-depth" concept.

The Industrial Ethernet encoder platform now offers these interfaces: PROFInet, PROFIsafe, Ethernet/IP and now Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE).
